Born In America
Born on a farm, in Nashville Being beaten by life since 14 With a pocket full of dreams and a harmonica Going to kill enemies that weren't mine
With other men, just like me Loved their homeland and girls They handed us a rifle and said “Hey boys, you better kill or be killed in our role”
Cause’
“You born in America” From Louis' to Minne' “Lived in America” The American dream, boy “Died for America” Land of the Free, yeah Little golden medals, for you and me.
Returning from Afghanistan, to a refinery The American hero has lost the value. 8 to 6 every day, as they applaud a man who didn't fight for us
Sweating, to make those who took me to that land even richer And my boss says "Boy you're here 'cause I know my son died in your arms"
“You born in America” From Louis' to Minne' “Lived in America” The American dream, boy “Died for America” Land of the Free, yeah Little golden medals, for you and me.
A cousin is gone in Baghdad An uncle died in Vietnam A house full of golden medals But what am I going to do with these metals? 10 years burning my fingers to survive In a land where winners turned to losers, aimless U Survive to America
“You born in America” From Louis' to Minne' “Lived in America” The American dream, boy “Died for America” Land of the Free, yeah Little golden medals, for you and me.
“You born in America” From Louis' to Minne' “Lived in America” The American dream, boy “Died for America” Land of the Free, yeah Little golden medals, for you and me.

Charlotte Avenue
Saturday night, I roam Nashville Looking for you, without tired Between cowboys and whores Everywhere, you’re not I calling your friends and they don't answer (don't answer)
My friends tell me to give it up The search is not useless, and I know I will find you here And your worried family won't scare me It's me and my pick-up, and so it will be
Saturday night, I roam Nashville Looking for you, without tired In a rodeo, or a country party When I find you then We will appear on television Shooting scenes in a bar On Charlotte Avenue
Looking for you, without getting tired In a rodeo, or a country party Shooting scenes in a bar On Charlotte Avenue

Route 66
Yeah, we're going down to 66 Route Me and Smith on the Fourth of July Looking for a job in New Mexico There are more than a thousand miles for everything come true
In L.A where the pretty girls are But all they wanna know my last name Well, girls today is your lucky day I got two hundred dollars and I wanna rock all night
Yeah, we're going down to 66 Route Maybe we stop in Vegas to win a million But if we don't make it, and finish our money at Smith has contact with an uncle in Arizona
We cracked open the window and yelled at the bitches All along the highway there wasn't a police Rock 'n' roll in our veins as we drink, we're cowboys Acting like Texans before arriving California
In L.A where the pretty girls are But all they wanna know my last name Well girls today is your lucky day Got 200 bucks and I wanna move all night
Yeah, we're going down to 66 Route Maybe we stop in Vegas to win a million But if we don't make it, and finish our money Smith has contact with an uncle in Arizona

Hillbilly
Say you hate it but say you can't live without me Yeah, i am the devil Hearing you complain as you clean the mess we've made on your bedding You're jealous, said don't want me, but you won't let me go 'Cause I do it all, and there ain't no man that drives you so crazy And you say...
“Hillbilly’s, hillbilly, Tennessee boy” Have so much fun on me that you think you're breaking the law She rips my shirt and cries so I don't leave But a hillbilly, a hillbilly, belongs to TN
Yeah I wear a jumpsuit, I get attention as I walk around the big city I can shame you with my legs spread while we're at the bar Having a sauce in my pocket, and I eat a piece of meat with my hands But you know that when I go down with my mouth, I'm not afraid to smear myself
“Hillbilly's, hillbilly, Tennessee boy” Have so much fun on me that you think you're breaking the law She rips my shirt and cries so I don't leave But a hillbilly, a hillbilly, belongs to TN
“Hillbilly’s, hillbilly, Tennessee boy” Have so much fun on me that you think you're breaking the law She rips my shirt and cries so I don't leave But a hillbilly, a hillbilly, belongs to TN

Still My Dream
It's been three months ago and you still away, you don't want back to me Only sleep can ease my pain, of love
I'm in my room, fell sleep Suddenly you’re here(by my side) I kissed you, smelled you Your blonde hair on my chest So happy… But the alarm clock wake me.
And when I woke up, that I didn't find you By your name I scream, I almost called too You don’t want talk to me And now I'm a renegade So I close my eyes and cry 'Cause you're still my dream.
It's hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go, I dance alone To tire my body until I can't do it anymore and When I fall into bed, again...
[Guitar solo]
And when I woke up, that I didn't find you By your name I scream, I almost called too You don’t want talk to me And now I'm a renegade So I close my eyes and cry 'Cause you're still my dream.

I’m on Fire(Caleb’s Version)
Hey little girl is your daddy home? Did he go away and leave you all alone? Hmm, i got a bad desire, oooh i′m on fire
Tell me now baby is he good to you? And can he do to you the things that i do? Hm hm I can take you higher, oooh i'm on fire
Sometimes it′s like someone took a knife baby Edgy and dull Cut a 6-inch valley through the middle of my soul
At night i wake up with the sheets soaking wet And a freight train running through the middle of my head Only you, can cool my desire, oooh i'm on fire
Ooh i'm on fire 2x Ooooh, ooooooh, oooooh, yeaaahhhh Ahhhhh, ahhhhh, oooh Oooh, i′m on fire 3x

song to reach you
I was in your country In the great London Town When your mother told me that you had traveled far away She hugged me and wiped my tears I couldn't do anything And not even she calling you, you wanted to answer
We've known each other since we were 21 So many years together I wanted to hear your sweet voice saying that everything would be alright Touching you for hours, I felt your salty sweat But all I wanted now was to say one last goodbye
You heard they mock me Was with me when they walked away We liked the same bands, I was a son to your father Now I'm just adjectives that play on the radio A "you're mine" Man I don't want the posthumous memories of a love that's alive
Maybe you're on the road Going to another studio session And I hope this song can reach you In an American hotel lobby you will hear me singing And you'll know that yes, I'm a wretch for letting you get away
This rain wetting my body I have nowhere to put my voice Now there's no one for me, nowhere, not at all Even another redneck couldn't understand what you understood “Unheroic” isn't about being the villain, it's about assuming you were wrong And I would abdicate the throne to have you back for me
It's my last verse before the chorus I know you won't change your mind But I need to verbalize that I miss you I can't look you in the eye now Make you feel my heart beating fast But I want you to know...
Maybe you're on the road Going to another studio session And I hope this song can reach you In an American hotel lobby you will hear me singing And you'll know that yes, I'm a wretch for letting you get away
Maybe you're on the road Going to another studio session And I hope this song can reach you In an American hotel lobby you will hear me singing And you'll know that yes, I'm a wretch for letting you get away

I’m Going Down
We sit in the car outside your house you're quiet
I can feel the heat coming 'round
I go to put my arm around you
And you give me a look like I'm way out of bounds
Well you let out one of your bored sighs
Well lately when I look into your eyes
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
We get dressed up and we go out, baby, for the night
We come home early burning, burning, burning in some fire fight
I'm sick and tired of you setting me up
Setting me up just to knock-a knock-a knock-a me down
Down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I pull you close now baby but when we kiss I can feel a doubt
I remember back when we started
My kisses used to turn you inside out
I used to drive you to work in the morning
Friday night I'd drive you all around
You used to love to drive me wild
But lately girl you get your kicks from just driving me down
Down, down, down I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down
I'm going down, down, down, down

Glorious Times
This is a song about the glory days
Johnny was famous at school Played football and listen blues He threw so far like had gasoline
He turned down a Boston scholarship for stay with a girl Married too soon and divorced at 25 Was supposed to be "Brady" but destiny didn't want it that way...
I saw him the other night at a roadside bar I was coming and he on the last whiskey And until the bar closed, the two drunks were talking loud
About the…
Glorious times That passed fast like a comet Times we were young and wild Showing New Texans what it's like to be a real hillbilly
A pocket with no money but stories to tell Traded the New England Patriots for a truck But bad luck is theirs, they'll never know about our glorious times
There was a blonde girl up the block That stirred the imagination of all the boys Denied a Model Contract to Follow the Texas Church
She dropped her faith cause’ it’s not made sense Now there's a baby in her belly and the other one is sleeping I always stop by your house to talk about life
Jasmine lives a difficult relationship and it’s close to end This son can be mine cause’ we've already made some escapes And before she starts crying I make her laugh
Remembering
Glorious times That passed fast like a comet Times we were young and wild Showing New Texans what it's like to be a real hillbilly
She choose be a woman of God but it was all in vain Left behind New York, Paris and Milan But bad luck is theirs they'll never know about our glorious times
Now I'm going home drunk and broke I hope that when I'm old I don't think about it But I'll probably think of it as a good memory...
I open the pickup's sunroof to look at the stars Today will be the glorious days of tomorrow So let's live to remember with love the times of today
All I can think about is the nice guy at school is my friend And that I've been in bed with the girl I always wanted So the glorious times are today (Well, at least for me)
Glorious times That passed fast like a comet Times we were young and wild Showing New Texans what it's like to be a real hillbilly
Got a lumber job and a new best friend A child that another guy will take on for me But his bad luck him is that he will never know my glorious times

Dancing In The Dark
I get up in the evenin' And I ain't got nothin' to say I come home in the mornin' I go to bed feelin' the same way I ain't nothin' but tired Man, I'm just tired and bored with myself Hey there, baby, I could use just a little help
You can't start a fire You can't start a fire without a spark This gun's for hire Even if we're just dancin' in the dark
Messages keeps gettin' clearer Radio's on and I'm movin' 'round my place I check my look in the mirror Wanna change my clothes, my hair, my face Man, I ain't gettin' nowhere I'm just livin' in a dump like this There's somethin' happenin' somewhere Baby, I just know that there is
You can't start a fire You can't start a fire without a spark This gun's for hire Even if we're just dancin' in the dark
You sit around gettin' older There's a joke here somewhere and it's on me I'll shake this world off my shoulders Come on, baby, the laugh's on me
Stay on the streets of this town And they'll be carvin' you up alright They say you gotta stay hungry Hey baby, I'm just about starvin' tonight I'm dyin' for some action I'm sick of sittin' 'round here tryin' to write this book I need a love reaction Come on now, baby, gimme just one look
You can't start a fire Sittin' 'round cryin' over a broken heart This gun's for hire Even if we're just dancin' in the dark You can't start a fire Worryin' about your little world fallin' apart This gun's for hire Even if we're just dancin' in the dark Even if we're just dancin' in the dark Even if we're just dancin' in the dark Even if we're just dancin' in the dark Hey baby

My Hometown
I was a kid running down the street Thinking of winning the world outside Didn't want to die in this small town With these small-minded people The friends without ambition My parents wanting to keep me on the farm Taking care of our animals Not many opportunities
I left my hometown Making my mother cry in the middle of the road Going to Chicago, daydreaming But there all I could be was a hillbilly
They didn't want to know how I was Cleaned those windows every day Went to L.A and my accent made it clear I don’t belong there
I can't forget where I came from, and where I'm going There I was a king, here I am a butler Gotta be where people really love me And people won't care if I'm wearing a hat I can be myself in that small town
I never want to be in a big city again Where the big ones step on the little ones without looking if it's killing Everything I smell smells like garbage I want to dive in a river, without a camera pointed at me
Yes I was born in a small town There where I can breathe fresh air I want to die on that little ranch That's what will make me happy

Win For Us
We run away from school in between classes Learn more in songs than from any book And will be the first time I'm leaving town without you I hear like a drum my heart pounding You say you're tired, and want close your eyes This time I'll leave town without you
'Cause we always swore we wouldn't surrender Like soldiers in winter with a flag to defend We swore we wouldn't surrender To the cruel world out there, and all I keep believing
Now young faces are sad and old Now fires hearts are cold like Colorado in December We are not blood brothers but we swore against the wind that we would be the pride of the city you can go bro I will win for us
Tennessee streets are getting quiet and dark The walls of this hospital are closing in But it's good to still be able to see you smiling On my birthday we sing until the sun goes down I'm not ready to stop growing young again When I leave this town without you, ohh, ohh
We always swore we wouldn't surrender While your sister screamed for us in the backyard We swore we wouldn't surrender To the cruel world out there is all I keep believing
Now young faces are sad and old Now fires hearts are cold like Colorado in December We are not blood brothers but we swore against the wind that we would be the pride of the city you can go brother I will win for us
Win for us Win, win for us Win for us Win for us, for us
win for us Win, win for us Oh bro I'd rather die too If I don't win for us
solo guitar
'Cause I've seen hot days turn into intense storms I've seen Jukebox that didn't play Denver I've seen things that even God can doubt But I never imagined that I wouldn't have you by my side anymore
Now the young faces are sad and old (90's Kids) I'm a Tennessee guy with a coffin in my pickup My heart is cold like Colorado in December We are not blood brothers but we swore against the wind that we would be the pride of the city
You can go brother Tenn' Boy I will keep upholding our oath
Win for us Win, win for us Tennessee boys never die I will win for us, for us
Win for us Win, win for us Oh bro I'd rather die too If I don't win for us
We run away from school in between classes We learn more from records than anyone in the room And it's the first time I'm leaving town without you
